Henna Designs For Beginners Video

henna-image-design-2The name henna comes from the Arabic word hinna. Henna has been used since antiquity to dye fingernails, hair, and skin. Young women used to adorn themselves with henna designs since the late Bronze Age in the east Mediterranean.

The henna powder is made from the dried, ground and sifted leaves of the Lawsonia plant. The leaves contain lawsone, an orange-red dye that is used for the body art.

It is always better to use natural henna for the body art because the FDA warns about the hidden dangers of the chemical henna that can cause burns and blisters and it can leave your skin scarred for life.

Chemical henna is the general term we use for products that are made with henna but are mixed with toxic chemicals such as gasoline or PPD. Be warned that PPD could cause rashes and blisters to organ failure and death.

Simple henna preparation is effortless, and you can prepare it in a jiffy. You could purchase henna powder at any Indian and Middle Eastern grocery stores and also through online retailers or try this henna premium kit.

When choosing the simple henna powder, you must see whether it is fresh, pure and natural and finely sifted. If you want to prepare henna at home and need some guidelines watch this video. Familiarize yourself about the mixing of henna and the preparation of the cones.
